Traditional Basket Weaving
Event description
Come and try a relaxing hands-on workshop learning the traditional Aboriginal craft of basket weaving with natural materials.
This session will be run by artists from Marra Dreaming.
Create your own basket to take home (all materials provided).
Marra Dreaming is an Indigenous Arts and Craft Centre is the Northern suburbs of Adelaide, established in 1999 to provide a space for Aboriginal people to develop their artwork, and is now a thriving meeting place for community to experience and explore Aboriginal culture. They foster healing and cultural awareness by running arts and craft programs for Aboriginal people and the wider community.

This workshop is aimed at adults and there are only limited places available. Children wanting to attend will need to purchase a concession ticket, attend with an adult and be appropriately supervised.
