Have you ever taken a sip of a beer and tasted butterscotch, bananas, canned corn or even …. baby vomit? What are these flavours and how did they get into your beer?

Our Head Brewer, Jason, will to help answer these questions and others, while you hone your sensory skills in the identification of taints and traits in beer. On site in our production brewery, Jason will bring his analytical chemistry, QC chemist and brewing training and experience to give participants a solid introduction into the world of beer taints and traits. 

We’ll also crack out a few Belgian styles to taste some of the wonderful traits these yeasts bring to the world of beer.

And there’ll be a tasty beer on us waiting for you at the end of the session.

A fun evening exploring beer tastes, smells and science for those looking to improve their sensory awareness of beer. And with only 20 tickets available, you’ll be able to pick Jason’s brain on all things beer and brewing.
