Earlier this year Sohalia [ Ritual Trance Dance ] and Milly [Soul Song] wove a powerful workshop called TrancenDance.

Movement and Sound inviting all that you are the opportunity to fully express within a safe and welcoming environment.

The mind is invited to take its place as a tool to harness the power of focused intention [ your map].

The dominant sense of sight is temporarily taken off line as you dance with a blindfold. Allowing other senses including inner vision to arise and become alive with potentiality. The body is freed to move and find shapes and patterns without filtering or becoming self conscious as no one is watching.

Through the ritual of dance with breath of fire, sound movement and we can experience freedom and liberation from the restrictions of every day living as our consciousness’s relationship to time and space shifts.

This creates a limbering up or softening in preparation for moving in to singing or sounding from the place of soul / spirit.

This will be a 5 hr immersion with space for 22 people
Starting with Ritual Trance Dance to open ourselves, awaken our senses , begin the process of release and self expression
Ritual Trance Dance is a Neo-Shamanic Dance Ceremony.

It is a contemporary dance ritual [ hence the word neo/new] created by Frank Natale in the 1980’s.

The elements of Ritual Trance Dance link us to shamanic practices that can be found in most ancient cultures and time lines.

Through the gateway of Darkness [ blindfolded we dance]
Using Eclectic soundscapes that inspire and provoke
Active Breath Work [ Breath of Fire] ,
Dance/ Movement
Conscious Intention we align to shamanic and universal practices that then create health and well being for us as individual and as a collective

A break for bliss balls and tea to ground us

We then move into SOUL SONG where we will discover what happens to the voice after we have been immersed in sound and conscious movement.
Here people are granted the space to be heard authentically and supported unconditionally through song, meditation, breath work, sacred circle, body movement and sound techniques.
It is a space where drums, instruments and music are used to begin a sound journey that is then layered with our voices, breaths, songs and authentic soul sounds.
It is sacred.
It is tribal and it is deeply ancestral as we sing to heal, connect and unleash.
It is a space where you can sing, laugh, rage, cry, meditate and blissfully BE who you are without shame.
Milly will guide you through the journey as you receive and release.
You do not need to be a singer to participate.

Your Facilitators

Sohalia Fitzgerald discovered Trance Dancing in Melbourne in 2005. She experienced such big shifts through the Trance ritual she went to Germany to train with Wilbert Alix.

Sohalia has been offering a monthly Trance Dance for 4 years in Perth Ritual Trance Dance is part of 2 women’s festivals run in Perth and in 2020 there were 2 trance camp outs.

Milly Taylor is a Vocalist, a fully qualified, trauma informed, Mental Health Professional and a Lived Experience Practitioner with a passion for Post Traumatic Growth through creative and embodiment therapies. I'm so excited to be sharing the healing modality of Soul Song to benefit your mental health and ignite your inner Wild Child.
