Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil
Event description
Each year we observe Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) to honour the memory of transgender people whose lives have been lost in acts of anti-trans violence, and due to discrimination and stigma.
This family friendly commemorative event is presented by Transgender Victoria and Yarra Libraries.
Doors open at 5:00PM, with speakers and performances starting at 5:15pm. Entry will remain open for the entire event.
There is a family space, a sensory space, and the main vigil space - all located on level 1. Lift and stair access are both available, and there will be volunteers available to guide. From 6:30PM-7:30PM there will be a social connection hour, with light refreshments available and time to connect with community.
