Transgender Futures: Career Conversations

The Macquarie University Ally Network, Natural Sciences DIB Committee and the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences D&I Committee will be hosting a panel discussion titled 'Transgender Futures: Career Conversations'.

Formatted as a panel discussion with audience Q&A, Transgender Futures is an event by and for transgender people, targeted at uplifting and empowering transgender staff, undergraduate, postgraduate, and HDR students' career aspirations. Meet non-binary, trans-femme and trans-masc professionals working right here at Macquarie University. Connect with gender-diverse people across different careers, life stages and generations. Our panelists work across chemistry, ecology, politics, writing and biology. Come ask the questions you may not get to ask elsewhere—about career concerns, workplace experiences, being out professionally, finding supportive environments, or simply what the experience of building a career has been like for the panelists. Come enjoy catered food, play games, win prizes, and hear trans professionals share wisdom through lived experience.

All staff and students are welcome, whether you identify as gender-diverse or not. We simply ask that attendees respect that this event is designed primarily for the gender-diverse community. Thank you!
