Inala Trans, Gender Diverse and Non-binary Session 

Please join the 2Spirits and Yarns Heal Project team for a yarn about gender and gender diversity from a cultural lens.  

The session will cover: 

Language and terminology 

  • Includes gender diversity across the world 
  • Decolonising gender 

TGDNBSB experiences (includes societal, healthcare) 

  • Specifically mental health and wellbeing 
  • Access to healthcare 

TGDNBSB inclusive practice and support

Please sign up now - At this time, we are looking to prioritise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people providing peer support outside of professionalised spaces (i.e. Elders, grandparents, parent’s, family, friends and community). If this is you, please sign up for a free ticket now.   

Please join the waitlist - If your primary or main relationship with the community is in a paid work role - please sign up to the waitlist.  

This event has been designed and tailored for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s, families and communities. Particularly, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy people’s and/or family, friends and communities connected to community.   

At this time, we are looking to prioritise people providing peer support outside of professionalised spaces (i.e. Elders, grandparents, parent’s, family, friends and community). If your primary or main relationship with the community is in a paid work role - please sign up to the waitlist. If positions remain closer to the session, the Yarns Heal team will be in contact to offer you a position in the session. 
 
These sessions aim to bring together support, community, and resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy folks, families and communities to thrive. This event will offer opportunities to engage in community care, peer support, discussions, skill-sharing, and co-reflecting.
