    Event description

TRANS GIG NIGHT is a night for trans and gender diverse folk to come and put music on a stage! Set in the icon that is DT's hotel, TRANS GIG NIGHT is a night where being queer is celebrated, trans performers are given a platform and anyone can come along and enjoy some juicy, booty wiggling heart quenching tunes.

This January come on down for the star studded line up that is:

    LOCAL SWEETHEART

Local Sweetheart (or Mickey, as their friends call them) is a non-binary, queer, neurodivergent singer-songwriter and poet living in Naarm (Melbourne). Their art aims to give voice to the feelings that we didn’t know we had. With intimate, bittersweet lyrics carried over gentle guitar melodies and dreamy harmonies, Local Sweetheart’s songs will remind you of voice notes from a friend.

    JESSE ECHO

Jesse Echo is a non-binary trans-femme singer-songwriter & poet living in Naarm (Melbourne). After a long break away from her musical roots, she's recently come back to her voice and guitar, blending her roots in indie bands with her love of folk-punk, poetry and storytelling. By writing music from the heart & her own experience, she hopes that she might just resonate a little with others' experiences as well.

    and

    NAAVIKARAN

Goddess Naavikaran is a Naarm based club & theatre producer and musician. Her work is transformational, sexy and magical. Previously awarded the 30 Under 30 LGBTIQ+ Leaders title in so-called Australia by Out For Australia in 2019 for their contributions to the community, Goddess Naavikaran is also the producer of Mothprocess, Naarm's very own access driven club night for BIPOC, disabled and queer folk.

Naavikaran’s debut album, Brown Church is available on all streaming platforms and her upcoming EP, Chiq Discotheq is out next year.

    ACESSABILITY

The venue is wheel chair accessible, please call (03) 9428 5724 ahead of time. No accessible bathroom, the closest accessible toilet is on the corner of Lennox St and Bridge Road. There will be an accessible seated viewing area close to the stage and a quieter space in the beer garden. If you need a PA ticket please email transgignight@gmail.com along with any other queries.
