Why is this important now?
Trans lives are under attack from a powerful anti–trans lobby working to erode our rights, our safety, and our access to health care. These campaigns have already been hugely successful in the US and the UK, and now they are getting started in Australia.Â
By coming together to share strategy, align on our demands, and build relationships, we can help our community to fight back.
Who is this event for?
- People who are leading work, organisations, or teams in the trans justice space
- Experts and advocates hoping to become more connected to the movement and refine their strategic advocacy
- Organisations looking for ways to work in solidarity with the trans community
- Philanthropic bodies looking to inform strategy and resourcingÂ
The agenda will feature
- A range of speakers and panels
- Caucuses for specific communities
- Open spaces for people to lead important discussions
- Skills-based workshops on campaign strategy, messaging, and tactics
- Time for relaxation and relationship building
- Sharing of key insights, analysis, and strategy
- Social activities and entertainment
