Transformational Breathwork Journey: A Guided Experience for Self-Discovery & Inner Freedom with a Qualified Facilitator

Come join us for an incredible event at Grounded Mat Sports Centre, where we will experience a Transformational Breathwork Journey and dive deep into self-discovery & inner freedom. Through the power of breath, we will use scientifically proven long-form conscious connected breathing techniques to change blood chemistry and biohack the body, facilitating deep states of inspiration, euphoria, emotional release of trauma or chronic stress, and even psychedelic vision-like states or eureka moments. This in-person experience is both transformational and enlightening. Many participants experience profound moments of realization and unlock life-altering insights from a single session. If you're in the Cairns area, this is a great opportunity to connect with your inner self and elevate your consciousness.

NOTE: Please be on time for the event. If you are late, you may be denied entry.

What Is Breathwork?

Breathwork is a broad term that refers to various techniques and practices that involve consciously controlling the breath to influence physical, mental, and emotional well-being. By adjusting the rhythm, depth, and pace of breathing, breathwork can affect the autonomic nervous system, helping to manage stress, enhance relaxation, improve mental clarity, and even facilitate emotional & trauma healing. Breathwork is often used in therapeutic, spiritual, and wellness contexts to promote overall health and well-being.

Transformational Breathwork is a specific type of breathwork that falls under the umbrella of Holotropic Breathwork, a term coined by Dr. Stanislav Grof. This family of breathwork practices is designed to help individuals achieve altered states of consciousness, similar to those experienced during deep meditation. The purpose of these states is to facilitate deep personal transformation, healing, and self-discovery.

Key Features of Transformational Styles of Breathwork:

  1. Conscious Connected Breathing: Transformational Breathwork involves a specific breathing pattern called conscious connected breathing, where the breath is continuous and unbroken—without pauses between the inhale and exhale. This technique decreases carbon dioxide levels in the body and can lead to profound physical and emotional experiences.
  2. Altered States of Consciousness: The breathing pattern used in Transformational Breathwork can induce non-ordinary states of consciousness, where individuals may experience vivid imagery, heightened awareness, emotional release, and moments of realization. These altered states are a key component of the process, allowing participants to explore their inner world deeply.
  3. Emotional and Physical Release: One of the primary goals of Transformational Breathwork is to facilitate the release of stored emotions, trauma, and stress that may be held in the body. This can lead to a profound sense of relief, clarity, and emotional freedom.
  4. Integration and Healing: After the breathwork session, there is often a period of integration, where participants reflect on their experiences and begin to process the insights or emotions that arose. This process is essential for transforming the insights gained into meaningful changes in one's life.
  5. Facilitated Environment: Transformational Breathwork sessions are typically led by trained facilitators who guide participants through the breathing process, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. The facilitator may use music, verbal guidance, and bodywork techniques to enhance the experience and support participants in their journey.

Relationship to Holotropic Breathwork:

Transformational Breathwork is closely related to Holotropic Breathwork, which was developed by Dr. Stanislav Grof as a therapeutic approach to explore the healing potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness. While both practices share similar goals and techniques, Transformational Breathwork may incorporate additional elements or variations depending on the facilitator's approach and the specific needs of the participants.

In summary, Transformational Breathwork is a powerful practice that uses conscious connected breathing to induce altered states of consciousness, facilitating deep emotional and physical healing, personal transformation, and spiritual growth. As part of the Holotropic Breathwork family, it offers a profound way to explore the inner self and unlock the potential for lasting change.

Time To Prepare For The Journey:

For the session, you may want to bring a bottle of water, light blanket, pillow and eye mask (or something to cover your eyes).
You may also wish to bring a notebook and pen to jot down anything that comes up for you after the session.
You’ll want to wear comfortable clothes and socks (some people get cold during Breathwork). It helps when all food is digested at least one hour before the journey.

I love to create a beautiful ambient vibe in the space, so get ready to land here with me. I'm excited to breath with you and guide you through this profound, transformational journey.

See you very soon!
