THE ALCHEMY OF HUMAN CONNECTION

Transformational Presencing is a deep and fascinating Authentic Relating (A.R.) practice that involves presence, empathy, intuition, reflection and self-expression.
This process is partly based on the Authentic Relating practice of 'Circling'.
In these Online Groups one person is the focus for around 25mins, as they talk about some specific aspect of their life.
During this, the base role of the other participants is simply to be present and broadly empathic - to extend their attention to that person.
In terms of more overt participation, they may offer curious questions designed to better understand what the person is talking about, and also occasional impact shares to mention a feeling response to what was just said.
There is no advice giving, and no analysis or therapy. We simply go on a curious supportive journey with the focus person.

This event is slow-paced, supportive, social, easy-going, and suitable for those with little or no A.R. experience. However, this is not recommended as someone's very first experience of self-discovery work. When we describe Presencing as an effortlessly powerful practice in deep connection to self and others, that's not some gimmick.

Practicalities:

4-6 participants. (Typically 3 will have the chance to be the focus person at any single event.)

Authentic Relating is an internationally-established field of conscious relating skills. Developed in the 1990s in the US, and soon reaching Europe, there are now numerous AR community movements across the world. 'A.R.' is just a convenient name for a broad system of self-development that focuses on our natural human capacity to assist each other to evolve and heal just by being real, present and curious.

There is never any 'trying to fix' and no focus on advice-giving. Such things put us in a different neurological state, which is actually the least useful state for supporting deep congruent change in our systems of self-belief.
A.R. is NOT Radical Honesty. People are always at sovereign choice. There is never any pressure to voice anything you don't wish to.

There will be a short break between each focus-opportunity.

WHAT PRESENCING ISN'T:

This isn't therapy: It can be very helpful in processing challenges or trauma-residue, but that happens organically. It isn't suitable for people who aren't comfortable to potentially encounter deeper edges of themselves or others.

This isn't a 'System' to 'be perfect at': Participants are supported to connect with their own resources. We don't use specific maps or expectations of 'how to be'.
