Knowledge is power so why be in the dark about perimenopause?

Perimenopause lasts anywhere from 2-10 years and occurs on average between 42-55 years. ‘Peri’ means ‘around’ or ‘near’ and it's like a second adolescence, but instead of preceding your first period it precedes your last.

"On the whole, women going through the menopausal transition [perimenopause] are more symptomatic than their postmenopausal counterparts." Australasian Menopause Society.

“Among even the smartest women I know, sex-ed was the first and last time they formally learned anything about their bodies, periods and hormones; the rest has been picked up from magazines and friends."
Alissa Vitti, Womancode

Maybe you’re simply curious and know the value of being prepared and educating yourself. Or maybe you've been experiencing some common symptoms:

* Poor sleep * Brain fog
* Anxiety * Mood changes
* Hot flushes and/or night sweats * Depression
* Irritable bowel and/or weight gain * Unreliable short term memory

Don't be in the dark or struggle in silence. It's time to create a new way of being for ourselves and future generations!

Transitions is a program designed specially for women who are approaching or are already in perimenopause so they can meet this phase confidently, with a sense of knowledge, power and wellbeing.

“When I fell pregnant for the first time I realised how little I knew about my body; I did not want to go into the next chapter of my life with the same lack of knowledge. What I love about the transitions workshop is that it covers the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of perimenopause. In a time when women are claiming our rights in many ways, claiming our bodies and our cycles is our responsibility. If you want a positive angle on the powers of peri- menopause, book yourself and your friends into a Changing Woman workshop.” Kemi Nekvapil, Coach, Speaker, Author
