Our Materials Working Group is kicking off a new talk series ‘Transitions’ to explore how we can decarbonise practice. We’ll cover diverse topics ranging from materials, talking to clients, mitigating risk, climate change communication and case studies for low carbon buildings.

We’ll start with a discussion on Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) - how sustainable is it, and what are the design, detailing and procurement issues you need to know? We’ll hear from a supplier, structural engineer and builder to discuss their insights on how to design with this material.

The event will run via Zoom on Friday 13 October at 1pm AEST. Speakers will present in an easy to digest short format, followed by an unrecorded Q&A to create a safe space for discussion.
