Fatemeh Shams reads from her co-translations with Armen Davoudian of Mahbouba Ibrahimi's poetry from Hair on Fire: Afghan Women Poets published by Two Lines Press.
Lily Meyer reads from her translation of The Invisible Years by Rodrigo Hasbún, published by Deep Vellum.
Alex Niemi reads from her translation of The Endless Week by Laura Vazquez, published by Dorothy, a publishing project.

Fatemeh Shams
Fatemeh Shams is the author of :"88" (2013), "Writing in the Mist" (2014), "When They Broke Down the Door" (2016), and "Hopscotch" (2024). Her work has been translated into English, German, Kurdish and Arabic. She is the recipient of Latifeh Yarshater Book award (2016) and Poetry International Chapbook Prize (2023). Her work has been featured in "Poetry", "Two Lines Magazine", "Kenyon Review," "Michigan Quarterly Review" among others. She is an associate professor of Persian literature at University of Pennsylvania.
Lily Meyer
Lily Meyer is a translator, critic, and author of the novels The End of Romance and Short War. A contributing writer at the Atlantic, her translations include Claudia Ulloa Donoso's story collections Little Bird and Ice for Martians.
Alex Niemi
Alex Niemi is a writer and award-winning literary translator. She is the recipient of an NEA fellowship, the Heldt Prize, and the AAT-SEEL Prize for best poetry translation from a Slavic language. Her translations include For the Shrew and Hekate by Anna Glazova, as well as The John Cage Experiences by Vincent Tholomé. She also is the author of the poetry chapbook Elephant.
