Have you ever wondered what goes into transforming a transport network across a city? This summer holidays, join us for the Cross River Rail Transport Transformation Challenge to explore how Cross River Rail is transforming Brisbane’s transport network.
In this school holiday program, students will work through a series of challenges that will see them plan their own transport networks as they explore topics ranging from human-centred design to archaeology, train station design to tunnelling and much more.
This action-packed program will see students working with new and emerging technologies at the Cross River Rail Experience Centre as they learn about the science of tunnelling under the Brisbane River before creating their own train stations and transport networks.
This is a great program for students in Grades 5 - 9 interested in STEM, engineering and transport. With a mix of challenges students will be learning new skills as they apply their learnings to real world challenges.

This program is designed for students in Grades 5 - 9
When Does The Program Run?
This is a two-day program, commencing on Tuesday January 19th. The program will run from 9:00am - 3:00pm on both the 19th & 20th of January. Drop-off is available from 8:00am and pick-up is available until 4:00pm.
Where Will The Program Be Held?
The program will be held in the Cross River Rail Experience Centre,

What Do Students Need To Bring?
We ask that students bring a laptop or other device (i.e. iPad, tablet, etc.) if they have one. All other equipment will be provided. Students will also need to bring morning tea, lunch and a water bottle.
Do Students Need Any Prior Experience?
No prior experience is required for this program.
