Traralgon Water Treatment Plant–Gippsland Water
Description
Tour the plant with Gippsland Water staff and learn how water is treated before being delivered to the tap.
Visitors will see the full process, starting from when water first comes in from Moondarra through to the treatment process, which includes including removing dirt, microorganisms and bacteria from the water before filtering and disinfecting it.
Walking through the site, visitors can learn how Gippsland Water treats water to meet the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act.
Park along Cross’s Road. Please be aware it is a residential area and be respectful of residents.
Walk to the front gate and a member of staff will meet you to grant you access to the site.
Long sleeves, long pants and closed-toe shoes are required for site access.
No food or drink is allowed.
