Trash to Fashion Workshop & Ball @ Bregamos Community Theater
Event description
The FREE Trash to Fashion WORKSHOP:
Learn from designers Tea Montgomery, Donald Carter, and Saks stylist Lauren Sprague, plus creative reuse specialist Lisa Spetrini and trashion artist Rebekah Fraser (Founder of Trash to Fashion). Then practice making trashion in community. We’ll immediately don our new garments and celebrate at the ball.
The FREE Trash to Fashion BALL:
Let's dance the night away with DJ Dooley-O. Capture the moment in a Photo Booth created for us by LOTTA Studio. Eat delicious food and enjoy great company.
To raise funds and make up for budget shortfalls, we have added two types of VIP tickets.
VIP Workshop & Ball tickets cost $250 each and include a seat at the VIP table with one of the designers or planning team, plus a guaranteed spot in the workshop immediately before the ball with a little extra attention if you want it.
Or, make your outfit in advance with our VIP + FASHION CONCIERGE.
For $550, you get a VIP seat at the ball. Plus, prior to Oct 11th, you’ll meet one-on-one with Tea Montgomery, Donald Carter, or costume designer Soule Golden. Each two-hour session will occur at Dwight Hall at Yale, where your fashion concierge will help you craft your trash fashion or refashioned garment for the ball. Do you have a closet full of old ties? A box of tablecloths? Tea, Donald, or Soule can help you give those sentimental but unused items new life. Or bring some clean food wrappers, soda can pop tops, that random bobble you found at the beach. If you don’t have a collection of random things to turn into garments, never fear. We do! Once you buy your ticket, we’ll reach out to schedule your private trashion-making session and discuss the materials you’d like to work with – ours or yours. We’re only making ten Fashion Concierge tickets available. Please note, we split the proceeds of this ticket option, so the cost of this ticket supports the artist as well as Trash to Fashion.
