Trauma Release Breathwork Session

This guided breathwork session offers a safe and supportive space to release stored trauma, tension, and emotional stress.

Using holotropic breathing, sound frequency, and intentional movement, we’ll tap into the subconscious — the part of the mind where unresolved experiences often reside.

Why the subconscious matters: Accessing the subconscious allows us to bypass the analytical mind and connect with deeper emotional layers. This can lead to:

Emotional release and nervous system regulation
Greater clarity and self-awareness
A sense of lightness, relief, and renewed energy
The ability to shift patterns that no longer serve you

What to bring:

A light blanket for comfort
Pillow (plus an extra if you experience lower back pain)
Water bottle
Notebook and pen

BREATHWORK PREPARATION:

Avoid caffeine on the day of the ceremony
Eat a light breakfast at least 2 hours prior to the ceremony
Bring a water bottle
Wear comfortable clothes for easy movement
Bring any comfortable blankets or cushions you wish to prop yourself up with. (We do supply, however if you would like your own, you are welcome to bring them)
Bring an eye mask if you wish
Bring a notepad and pen in case you wish to journal any insights or guidance you receive during/after the ceremony

Keep in mind that it's typical for past emotions and memories to resurface as you approach transformative journeys like this one. If you sense any resistance or notice old emotions and memories emerging, we suggest taking the time to journal them and allow yourself to reflect. It's important to understand that this is a natural and anticipated aspect of the transformative process.

When we breathe in a conscious, connected, and rhythmic way, we enter an altered state of consciousness. Our breath bridges the gap between our conscious mind, subconscious mind, and body. Our body remembers everything that our mind forgets, storing deep unresolved emotional wounds and trauma. This breathwork creates space for these unresolved emotions to surface, be felt, processed, and released from the body, while also helping to unwind the nervous system and held patterns of tension. It allows the body to complete interrupted arousal cycles (fight/flight/freeze/fawn) due to traumatic experiences.

This is a personal healing journey. At Me Mystique & I, we use breathwork to release stuck, heavy energies from the body to create freedom and liberation within. During the breathwork, you will receive energetic healing and bodywork to facilitate bodily shifts and movement, allowing you to find harmony within.

Due to the nature of this work, there are certain contraindications that will prevent you from attending. These are:

Pregnancy
High blood pressure (Please ask about this)
Diagnosed Severe PTSD
Severe mental health conditions (bipolar, schizophrenia, psychosis)
Currently taking heavy medication that alters brain chemistry (antidepressants, anti-anxiety, antipsychotics)
Detached retina
Recent physical injuries, fractures, and/or surgeries
Epilepsy
History or diagnosis of aneurysms
Cardiovascular problems
History of seizures
Severe asthma (please contact me if you have asthma)
Heart disease
Heart conditions
Diabetes
Hospitalisation for any psychiatric condition, emotional crisis, or spiritual emergence within the past 3 years
Any other medical, psychiatric, or physical conditions that would impair or affect your ability to engage in activities involving intense physical and/or emotional release
Adverse reactions from recent COVID-19 vaccinations

Breathwork Liability Waiver & Release:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The parties agree to the following terms and conditions:

a. The client is engaging in breathwork services to be provided by Loretta Flanagan and affiliates, contractors, and/or employees/volunteers.

b. The client agrees to sign this Informed Consent and Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability.

c. This session is not recommended and is not safe under certain medical conditions. The client agrees to inform all staff, including Loretta Flanagan and affiliates, contractors, and/or employees/volunteers, of any medications they are currently taking, and any medical conditions or physical limitations they have prior to the event. The client will disclose any and all conditions, medical or otherwise, that may affect their ability to participate in this breathwork session. This includes present or recent experiences of severe mental illness, neurological conditions, heart conditions, history of blood clots, currently experiencing spiritual emergence/crisis, epilepsy and seizures, detached retina and other ocular issues, heart conditions/attacks, high blood pressure, pregnancy, recent physical injuries, fractures, and surgeries. The client confirms that they are not pregnant, nor do they have severe asthma, heart disease, diabetes, mental illness, epilepsy/history of seizures, and/or acute physical injuries or any other contraindications of breathwork. In the case of any of these conditions, the client understands that participation will be revoked and they will not be allowed to participate in the session as a precaution to their health and wellbeing.

d. The client understands that the facilitator of this session, including their affiliates, contractors, and/or employees/volunteers, do not diagnose illness or disease, and this session does not prescribe or replace medical treatment or pharmaceuticals.

e. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury cannot be entirely eliminated. If the client experiences any unusual pain or discomfort, they will listen to their body, discontinue the activity, and clearly communicate this to the facilitator, asking for support if needed. The client assumes full responsibility for any and all damages that may occur through participation in this session.

f. The client understands that this breathwork session is not a substitute for medical care, and it is recommended that they continue to work with their primary healthcare provider for any condition they may have.

g. The client understands that taking alcohol or drugs prior to or during this session will result in them not being able to participate in the session. The client agrees that they will not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while attending this session.

h. The client confirms that they alone are responsible for deciding whether to participate in the breathwork session and that they participate fully at their own risk.

i. The client understands that this session includes breathwork and trauma release, which involves physical movement, breathing, meditation, release of emotions, touch, bodywork, and music. The client understands that each of these will be included in the session.

2. INFORMED CONSENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

This Informed Consent and Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability is material to the event Contract and is incorporated herein by reference.

The client certifies that they are in adequate physical condition to participate in physical exercise.

The client certifies that they are aware of the nature of this event and assume the full risk of participating in this event.

The client certifies that they will disclose to Loretta Flanagan and affiliates, contractors, and/or employees/volunteers whenever suggested activities cause distress beyond their threshold.

The client certifies that they will not hold Loretta Flanagan and affiliates, contractors, and/or employees/volunteers liable for any physical injury, whether minor, severe, or otherwise, that may result from this event and breathwork facilitated by Loretta Flanagan and affiliates, contractors, and/or employees/volunteers.

The client assumes all responsibility for their participation in the breathwork session.

**3. The client consents that they are in good physical health and of sound mind and do not suffer from any condition that would hinder their participation in any activity by Loretta Flanagan. These Activities include, but are not limited to, physical movement, breath, meditation, release of emotions. Loretta Flanagan and affiliates, contractors, and/or employees/volunteers are strictly for entertainment purposes and understand any personal medical concerns are under the care of a medical professional. Any advice given is ultimately determined by the client's own free will, and they release any liability to sue Loretta Flanagan and affiliates, contractors, and/or employees/volunteers. The client's participation in all activities confirms that they are fully responsible for any and all risks, injuries, or damages known or unknown without limitation.

**4. The client hereby releases their image should photos be taken in group activities that may later appear on future media, for websites, social media, or any press purposes. The client gives permission to use their likeness, image, voice, and/or appearance as such may be embodied in any pictures, photos, video recordings, audiotapes, digital images, and the like, that they send to Loretta Flanagan or to their social media. The client agrees that anything they send to Loretta Flanagan is completely owned by them, including the entire copyright, and may be used for any purpose. These uses include, but are not limited to, illustrations, bulletins, exhibitions, videotapes, reprints, reproductions, publications, advertisements, and any promotional or educational materials in any medium now known or later developed, including the Internet. The client acknowledges that they will not receive any compensation, etc., for the use of such pictures. By completing this release, responding to this email, showing up for the session with Loretta Flanagan, and entering any space held by them, the client agrees to these terms.

**5. Indemnity. The client agrees to irrevocably release and waive any and all claims they have now or may have hereafter against the facilitators of this session, including Loretta Flanagan and affiliates, contractors, and/or employees/volunteers. The client indemnifies and holds harmless Loretta Flanagan and affiliates, contractors, and/or employees/volunteers for any injuries, illnesses, and the like, experienced as a result of this breathwork session.

6. I have fully read, and fully understand, and agree to the above terms of this Liability Waiver Agreement. I am signing this agreement voluntarily and recognise that my signature serves as a complete and unconditional release of liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.

7. Entire Agreement. This document reflects the entire agreement between the Parties and reflects a complete understanding of the Parties with respect to the subject matter. This Contract supersedes all prior written and oral

representations. The Contract may not be amended, altered, or supplemented except in writing signed by Loretta Flanagan & Melina Garnham.

8. Legal and Binding Contract. This Contract is legal and binding between the Parties as stated above. This Contract may be entered into and is legal and binding all over the world. The Parties each represent that they have the authority to enter into this Contract.

9. Severability. If any provision of this Contract shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable. If the Court finds that any provision of this Contract is invalid or unenforceable, but that by limiting such provision it would become valid and enforceable, then such provision shall be deemed to be written, construed, and enforced as so limited.

10. Applicable Law. This Contract shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the state where the event is held, without giving effect to any conflicts of laws provisions.

BY TURNING UP TO THE SESSION, I, THE CLIENT, ACKNOWLEDGE HAVING READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS CONTRACT AND THAT I, THE CLIENT, ARE SATISFIED WITH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN THIS CONTRACT. THE CLIENT SHOULD NOT AGREE TO THIS CONTRACT IF THERE ARE ANY BLANK SPACES. YOU ARE ENTITLED TO A COPY OF THIS CONTRACT AT THE TIME YOU AGREE TO IT. ACKNOWLEDGMENT I AM IN GOOD PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH AND DO NOT SUFFER FROM ANY MEDICAL OR PHYSICAL CONDITIONS THAT COULD CONSTITUTE A DANGER TO MYSELF OR OTHERS AS A RESULT OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITIES, AND I ACCEPT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES FREELY.

By purchasing this ticket for myself of any other party, I acknowledge that I/they have read and completely understand the terms of the release, that I/they are legally of sound mind, and voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated above.
