About TCTSY

Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is a research-grounded, evidence-based yoga intervention for complex trauma and PTSD. It is the flagship program of The Center for Trauma & Embodiment and is taught internationally by licensed trainers. This workshop introduces the foundations of the model and supports participants to make their existing scope of practice more trauma-informed.

Further information about TCTSY is available at Trauma Sensitive Yoga.

Facilitator

This workshop is facilitated by Joan Greaves, TCTSY-Facilitator, Trainer and Mentor; TCTSY, JRI Licensed Trainer; ACC accredited psychotherapist; and registered yoga teacher. Joan is part of The Center for Trauma & Embodiment and is accredited by David Emerson, Director of The Center for Trauma & Embodiment.

Important Notes

·       This workshop satisfies one of the prerequisites to apply for the 300-hour Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga certification program, delivered annually online from September to April.

·       This 20-hour workshop provides continuing education credits for IAYT and Yoga Alliance members: 18 hours and 20 hours respectively. Credits may also be available with other professional registration bodies.

·       This workshop is for professional development only and is not a certification program. Certification in TCTSY requires completion of the 300-hour TCTSY certification program.

·       This workshop is not intended as an intervention for people who have experienced trauma. Talking about trauma, even in a professional training context, can be triggering or overwhelming.
