Learn about key skills in travel writing including finding intriguing story ideas, using vivid description, and marketing your work, with the opportunity to write and get feedback on a short piece. Will be useful for anyone interested in writing for traditional or on-line media, blogging - or just engaging with people and places in new ways.

About your facilitator - Jay Martin
Jay started freelance writing when her husband's job took her to Poland - an experience that became her first book, Vodka and Apple Juice (Fremantle Press, winner of the Fremantle TAG Hungerford award). Her first novel, Boomtown Snap, will be published by Fremantle Press in May 2025. Her work has appeared in a number of European and Australian magazines, and she has been a panelist and presenter at writers festivals and events in Australia and Canada. She teaches travel and creative writing around WA.
