Travelling Electric
Event description
This event is organised by Renew's Hunter Branch.
Spend your Sunday afternoon in Port Stephens at our EV event organised by the Renew Hunter Region Branch. The afternoon will begin with a special presentation by Les Pinney on 'An Owner's Perspective on Electric Vehicles' at 2pm, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A between EV owners and the audience. You will also have an opportunity to get a close look at 7 different models of electric cars as well as e-bikes, and have a chat with their owners. A specialist EV charger installer will be on hand to answer more detailed questions about charging options.
The presentation will start at 2pm but you can arrive early and bring a picnic lunch. Tilligerry Habitat is a lovely place to go for a walk and spot some birds or koalas. Light refreshments will be served at around 4pm.
For the presentation, Les will outline the different types of electric vehicles, go through some practical considerations of owning an EV such as charging, running costs and batteries as well as a look at what the future of EV’s might look like. We will also have the latest electrifying news from Port Stephens, the Hunter region and beyond.
This is a free event but places are limited so please RSVP ASAP.
