Travis Jenkins Organ Trio

The Travis Jenkins Organ Trio is making their long awaited return to Can You Keep A Secret.  After having performed Organ Trio arrangements of the music of Thelonious Monk and Charles Mingus in their last appearance at the venue, they are returning with two sets of all new original works composed by Travis that will be featured on trio's debut album to be released later this year. 

Travis is a prominent multi-instrumentalist from Meanjin (Brisbane), specialising in guitar with a strong focus on jazz and other forms of improvised music.  His latest combo, the classic organ trio format (featuring Sam Castan on drums and Lochlan Feng on organ), looks to feature an eclectic variety of approaches to organ trio music.  With influences ranging from Dr. Lonnie Smith, Jimmy Smith, Larry Goldings, Medeski Martin and Wood, and John Scofield, to perhaps some more obscure influences such as Jamie Saft, John Zorn, Lez Baxter and the Thai folk music known as "Molam".
