We are fortunate to have Master Beekeepers Les Crowder and Nathalie Misserey who are internationally recognised experts in their field of Treatment Free Beekeeping sharing their extensive knowledge and experience of managing hundreds of hives with no chemicals for many years.

Les Crowder

Les is a veteran of the beekeeping world for more than 55 years, and a widely recognized expert in natural beekeeping.

Les has always looked for ways to eliminate toxic inputs in the hive, starting with antibiotics and now miticides. He has been keeping bees in Langstroth and Top-Bar Hives his entire life, both as a hobby and as a business.

A true honey bee expert and whisperer, he has been teaching highly popular natural beekeeping classes domestically and abroad for over 35 years (both in English and Spanish) and has written the world-renowned book “Top-Bar Beekeeping: Organic Practices for Honeybee Health”, which has sold and continues to be sold all over the world.

Nathalie Misserey

With over 15 years of experience and 400 thriving treatment-free colonies under her care, Nathalie B. is a passionate advocate and leading in natural, expert in natural beekeeping. 

A gifted educator always guided by bee biology and a deep respect for the bees, she has developed and leads treatment-free apprenticeships and workshops focused on low-cost, easy-to-manage horizontal hives and natural comb systems that support naturally resilient colonies without chemicals or harsh organic acids. 

Nathalie B. has taught across continents, from the African savannah to the fields of Texas, establishing teaching apiaries, writing training manuals, and promoting beekeeping as a tool for ecological and social renewal.

Most recently, Apimondia invited her to present the Flex Hive, her innovative and efficient Langstroth-to-Top-Bar adapter, along with her work on using treatment-free Top-Bar NUCs as a sustainable income source.

A Master Beekeeper and MBA grad, she owns Bee Mindful, a full-service beekeeping business rooted in practical, bee-first methods. Today, natural beekeeping pioneer Les Crowder works for her at Bee Mindful, supporting her mission to grow the treatment-free movement.

Nathalie is the founder of Texas’s first natural beekeeping club and the World Bee Day Natural Beekeeping Webinar, co-host of the popular podcast The Hive Jive, and one of the admins behind the thriving “Treatment-Free Beekeepers” Facebook group, which has grown to over 100,000 members

Les and Nathalie are passionate about promoting a strictly Pesticide-Free and sustainable approach and never use poisons in their hives.

Their acclaimed Apprenticeship Program and intensive Workshops, teach new and advanced beekeepers how to use the scientifically proven and efficient strategies of the Integrated Pest Management pyramid to help them increase their chances of success without dousing their bees and contaminating their wax or honey with poisons such as toxic chemicals or caustic organic acids.

Adrian Iodice

Adrian from Happier Bees Beekeeping Naturally is a pioneer for the Natural Beekeeping movement in Australia. He is a passionate advocate for sustainable and natural bee care.

Adrian takes his Natural Beekeeping workshop all over Australia. He has also developed an online course so more people can access this valuable knowledge.

Adrian studied at the renowned Mellifera Centre for Biodynamic Beekeeping in Germany and was invited to speak at the 'Learning from the Bees' conference in the Netherlands.
