The WA Tree Festival has provided a unique opportunity to be part of restoring the City’s urban canopy. The Parks and Environment teams are excited to make available 500 trees FREE for residents of the City of South Perth. The first 500 people to register can pick up their tree between 9am and 2pm on Sunday 5 May 2024 at the City's nursery.
One tree per family and proof of residency is required (eg Driver’s License). Booking is essential.

Callistemon phoeniceus - ‘Scarlet Bottlebrush‘ (2-4m)
Eucalyptus decipiens - ‘Redheart Moit‘ (6-9m)
Eucalyptus erythrocorys - ‘Illyarie’ (4-8m)
Eucalyptus lansdowneana - ‘Crimson Mallee’ (2-6m)
Eucalyptus leucoxylon - ‘Yellow Gum’ (10-20m)
Eucalyptus woodwardii - ‘Lemon-flowered Gum’ (6-12m)
Eucalyptus torquata - ‘Coral Gum’ (4-10m)
Melaleuca virdiflora - ‘Broad-leaved Paperbark’ (3-8m)
Take a tour of the City’s nursery and find out for yourself, how the City is working towards its goal of protecting and maintaining its urban forests.
The City of South Perth operates one of the largest local government nurseries in the Perth metro area growing and supplying plants for many local councils including Victoria Park, Kalamunda, Perth, Belmont, Fremantle, Subiaco and Canning.
The City’s specialist staff collect, propagate and grow locally sourced seeds and cuttings to grow endemic plant species, trees, shrubs, riverine and wetland plants suitable for environmental rehabilitation, streets and parklands.

10:30-11:00am
1:00-1:30pm
