Tree of Life Storytelling with Luisa Mitchell
Learn how to tell a story about you and your family through drawing your own "Tree of Life" with poet and storyteller Luisa Mitchell from Centre for Stories. After hearing Luisa's own "family tree" story, you will learn how to share a short spoken story of your roots and what connects you to Country through the language of trees and the narrative "tree of life" activity.

About the Presenter:
Luisa Mitchell is a Whadjuk Nyungar Australian poet and arts producer born and raised in Rubibi/Broome but now living in Boorloo/Perth. Her work has been published by Westerly, JASAL, Liquid Amber Press, Portside Review and more. She won the Highly Commended Poem and Best Emerging Poet Awards from Liquid Amber Press and was shortlisted for the Richelle Prize for Emerging Writers in 2023. She has facilitated many oral storytelling workshops and creative writing workshops with Centre for Stories. She is passionate about helping young people to find meaning and fulfilment through practising the arts.
