Tree Treats of the Forest: a guided walk
Event description
Enjoy a guided walk by a local resident to discover the beautiful and historic trees within the suburbs for Nature Festival 2025.
The suburbs of Black Forest, Goodwood, Millswood and Forestville are so named as this area was once covered by a diverse forest of trees, shrubs, creepers, groundcovers and grasses. The dominant tall trees included the Grey Box (Eucalypus microcarpa) and River Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis).
Join a local resident for a 90-minute guided walk leaving from the Clarence Park Community Centre, visiting a variety of beautiful and historic trees. Tree Treats of our Urban Forest! We will then return to the Community Centre for light refreshments afterwards.
The walk is approximately 4km. This event is most suitable for adults and older children. The walk will not be difficult but may be undulating or uneven in places. We will be crossing several roads and mostly walking along our suburban footpaths.
Please contact us if you have any specific access requirements or questions.
