    Event description

"Treeparty for the Common Good" in its 2nd year now, is raising funds for Prince Charles Hospital Foundation initiative "The Common Good". This year they are directing funds towards the "Queensland Lung Transplant Research Laboratory " (QLTS). The aim of their research put simply is to find ways to stop fibrotic lung diseases (including occupational lung fibrosis "silicosis") from developing and progressing to "end stage", where the only treatment option remains lung transplantation. For those patients that have already had a lung transplant, the research aim is equally simple: keep these patients alive and healthy.

Joining us in 2024 as a beneficiary is "Outback Mind Foundation". We all know about the disproportionate representation of men in our national suicide rates! Be it men OR women its absolutely tragic. As a grass roots health promotion charity, The Outback Mind Foundation focus on empowering men to take a pro-active approach to looking after their mental health. They work towards educating men to improve mental health outcomes and also to reduce risk of men commiting acts of domestic and family violence. This service is absolutely essential and is no doubt saving lives within our Gladstone region and communities country wide. We are very proud to have them on board.

Treeparty for the Common Good, is an opportunity to get together with our fantastic Agnes Water/1770 community, at "Air Sea Rescue Park 1770" under the big old mango tree, and dance the night away with our very own “1770superjam”. Joining the lineup and taking care of sunset sounds, from the northern rivers of NSW, is Ole Falcor. His beautiful coastal sounds will soothe and captivate as the sun goes down over Round Hill Creek on another Agnes/1770 day. We are very grateful to have him perform! Our 3rd act, all the way from Victoria is “Twin Cylinder” consisting of former local Jack Blandford, and Melbourne artist Otis Namrell, these boys are gonna raise the temperature a little with their raw bluesy/rock energy… I guarantee you’ll love them!!!

Enjoy the 1770 sunset with your complimentary drink on entry, 2 AMAZING lucky door prizes, and delicious canapés served throughout the evening.

Lion’s will be running our bar again with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages on offer.

    18+ event.
