Trevor Knight - Confessions of a Folk Singer
Event description
TREVOR KNIGHT presents
“Confessions of a Folksinger” is the incredible story of a young boy growing up in the exciting and pivotal years of the 1960’s and 70’s.
Leaving his safe, middle class home in England at the age of 16, Trevor journeyed to his land of dreams … America, and with nothing but a song, guitar and backpack he traveled the length and breadth of that vast country in the footsteps of his childhood heroes, Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan encountering incredible characters as well as some of his idols John Denver, Paul Simon, Gordon Lightfoot and many more.
This show is the story of a coming of age, the loss of innocence, the finding of freedom and the magic that only music can bring.
Take a fantastic musical journey back to when the world was a very different place and relive those days with the songs of Pete Seeger and the Weavers, The Kingston Trio, Peter, Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, The Byrds, Paul Simon and many more. A time when a song could change the world!
Share in the romance, excitement and fun of this great one-man show!
This show has performed all over the world to rave revues; It is truly a unique show that can only be performed by the person who lived it…. Trevor Knight.
