Event description

You are invited to come along to hear our Trinity Senior School Musicians performing solos, small group items and large ensemble items.

The night will feature our Stage 2 Ensemble Performance Students presenting their first assessment programs with their ensembles for the year, along with several other featured Trinity College Senior musicians.

This promises to be a wonderful night of quality musical entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

The Marnkutyi Parirna (Three Rivers) Theatre was officially opened in October 2023.

Marnkutyi Parirna is Kaurna language for Three Rivers. As the six Trinity College schools are spread across Gawler and surrounding areas, the name reflects this localised setting acknowledging the North Para River, South Para River and Gawler River with the connecting point known as the Three Rivers site.

The Marnkutyi Parirna (Three Rivers) Theatre is the only theatre in South Australia that is designed to cater for performing arts, orchestral music and amplified music. The acoustic engineering and specialist theatre requirements to achieve this required meticulous planning and execution.

The Marnkutyi Parirna Theatre (MPT) was constructed primarily for educational purposes and therefore to accommodate a wide range of experiences and uses for a School. The MPT achieves acoustic excellence and aesthetic beauty in a creative space that is both flexible and adaptable with ease of operation. Music, art and science combines to deliver this spectacular 500-seat Theatre.

Trinity College has made an investment in the arts that enables their students to obtain hands-on experience into the inner workings of a commercial theatre. In addition to this, Trinity Colleges’ connections with the local arts community will be further enhanced through external third party uses and programming.

The College has a strong tradition of performing arts and, a highlight of the official opening proceedings was the induction of old scholar, and international cabaret artist, Libby O’Donovan (1993) as the inaugural inductee in the College Arts Hall of Fame.
