Trinket charm making workshop: Carving and modelling wax.

Get ready to make a one of a kind trinket! This hands-on workshop invites you to dive into the magic of lost-wax carving. While Katie explores myth, narrative and adornment in her studio, you’ll be learning the skills to create your own personal trinket, which will be cast for you in either brass (2grams of wax for brass is included in ticket price) or 925 silver (925 silver is an additional cost to be paid on the day)

In this 2-hour session, you will learn how to sculpt, carve, and shape jewellers wax into one unique trinket. This workshop is not for rings, we will be focussing on pendants, objects and charms.

What’s in Store

• Creative Carving: Learn the basics of impressing, carving and engraving wax to create one-of-a-kind designs.

What to Bring

• Inspiration: If you already have a design idea, please bring along a reference image. To keep things at a nice "trinket" scale, ensure your image is no larger than 2cm x 2cm.

• An Open Mind: No previous experience is necessary! Some of the work is quite fine, so magnifying glasses are great if typically needed.
