What is Triple P?
The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program ® is one of the world’s most effective parenting programs. It gives parents the skills they need to raise confident, healthy children and teenagers and to build stronger family relationships. It also helps parents manage misbehaviour and prevent problems occurring in the first place.
With more than 30 years of ongoing research, Triple P has been scientifically trialled with thousands of families around the world and been found to work for most families within a wide variety of cultures, countries and individual situations. Triple P has helped more than four million children and their families in 25 countries around the world.

When: Tuesday evenings over three weeks

Tuesday 24 March - Raising Confident, Competent Children
Tuesday 31 March - Raising Resilient Children
Time: 6.00pm - 8.00pm
Where: All Saints College Chapel Meeting Room
Facilitated by Sheleen Davis (College Psychologist for Junior School) and supported by Shona Browne (Junior School Teacher)

Tuesday 17 March - The Power of Positive Parenting
This seminar will provide a solid foundation for embracing the Positive Parenting approach. The Triple P - Positive Parenting Program, is an internationally recognised program that gives parents the skills they need to build strong family relationships, manage misbehaviour and prevent problems happening in the first place.
The Power of Positive Parenting seminar will focus on some of the essential elements of parenting:
- Promoting children's development and manage behaviour and emotions in a positive way
- How to create a safe, interesting and positive learning environment
- How to use assertive discipline
- Setting realistic expectations (for yourself and your child)
- Taking care of yourself as a parent

This seminar aims to provide information using 6 key building blocks to help grow children who:
Show respect to others
Are considerate
Possess great communication and social skills
Have healthy self esteem
Are competent problem solvers
Are developing independence skills

Tuesday 31 March - Raising Resilient Children
This seminar aims to provide information using 6 key building blocks to help grow children who have these skills:
recognising, understanding and accepting feelings
expressing feelings appropriately in ways that don't harm others
are able to have a positive outlook/mindset
effective coping strategies
are able to deal with uncomfortable feelings and challenging situations
have the ability to manage particularly stressful life events
