Trophy Boys by Emmanuelle Mattana
Description
State Theatre Company South Australia presents a Soft Tread Production in association with the Maybe Pile and Trinity College Gawler
Boys being boys.
It is the biggest night of Melbourne’s academic calendar, the Grand Finale of the Year 12 Interschool Debating Tournament, and the all-boys team from the elite St Imperium College are ready to totally annihilate their sister school — until…
Performed by a female and non-binary cast in drag, the show unfolds in real time as the boys are locked in a classroom for their one-hour prep window and forced to argue that “feminism has failed women”.
This riotously funny satire looks at insecure adolescent masculinity, entitlement and the ego of Australia’s next generation of politicians and powerbrokers.
Winner of Best New Work (Sydney Theatre Awards 2024) and recipient of multiple Greenroom Awards Nominations (2024): Best Production, Best New Writing, Best Director (Marni Mount), Trophy Boys is “truly a joy to watch” (Time Out).
Off the back of a sold out national tour, Trophy Boys performs in regional South Australia before arriving at the Space Theatre.

Please note when attending Marnkutyi Parirna Theatre:
Row G is best for persons with restricted mobility and their carer, as it is a flat surface on entry from Doors A & B. This is the only row where we can provide Wheelchair Spaces.
If you have mobility issues please utilise seats in Rows A - G (or AA-CC if applicable). Access to these front rows from the aisle does require patrons to use low profile steps.
The upper sections of our Auditorium, Rows H – P, do require patrons to have full mobility due to the number of steps.
Viewing in our Theatre is exceptional from all seats and therefore ticket prices do not vary based on the seat you select.
Marnkutyi Parirna Theatre is an accessible venue. Please park in our main ‘Trinity South School’ carpark. Two (2) Wheelchair/Accessible carparks are located close to the main entrance, with another four (4) Wheelchair/Accessible carparks in this carpark also.
No food in the Theatre.
Prams can be parked in the Foyer of the Theatre only; they cannot be brought into the Auditorium.
