    Event description

The Qbn Hive is on the SOS Touring Circuit and we could not be happier!

The SOS Touring Circuit (managed by Sacred Currents) aims to connect the vibrant live music venues South of Sydney by providing a joint marketing website and three tours of cross cultural music in 2024. The Circuit kicks off in March, with True Vibenation taking their conscious, soulful hip hop and afro-funk around the Circuit,14 –17 March

Thanks to Live Music Australia funding, this is an opportunity to showcase exciting contemporary culturally diverse music, support local artists and music venues in the regions.

Richard Petkovic, Sacred Currents Inc Artistic Director: “This Circuit will raise the profile of great venues South of Sydney that are supporting the live music scene and connect them together locally and nationally. It will build sustainable touring opportunities for artists and encourage tourism to these unique places.”

The SOS touring circuit loop includes: Campbelltown Arts Centre, The Servo Port Kembla, El Horses Nowra, The Goulburn Club (Goulburn), The QBN Hive Queanbeyan, Bowral Bowling Club and the Pratten Park Bowling Club Ashfield all working together to showcase their venues and local artists.

    True Vibenation

True Vibenation combines an irresistible blend of soul and afrobeat backed by big bass, big beats and live horns. Drawing from their African heritage and raised in the cultural melting pot of Sydney, their sound takes influence in equal parts from Masego, Burns Boy and rudimental as it does from FelaKati. Fat Freddys Drop and Outkast.

They have built a reputation as international party starters and ambassadors for Afro-Australian music, constantly touring across Australia, Africa, Europe and Asia including stages at Glastonbury, Brixton Academy, Subsonic and Womadelaide festivals. In their infectious live show all three members switch between singing, producing beats and blasting horns live on stage.

Their song ‘The World Is Ours’ hit #1 on Spotify’s UK Viral chart, and #4 globally, and ‘Squat’ with Haiku Hands soundtracked US TV show ‘Good Girls’

    Supported by

    Kopasetic

Kopasetic is an energetic indie-roots sextet from Canberra, dosing their audiences with earthy rhythms and earnest messages over a melting pot of modern rock-reggae, soul, blues and folk. The band thoroughly explores the limits of these genres, with bone-shaking off-beat grooves, psychedelic instrumentals and soulful ballads.

Kopasetic’s original music has seen the band booked to support the likes of Kim Churchill and Jeff Lang, tour nationally and internationally, as well as draw in local crowds to their original releases and headline shows of up to 200 (the Street Theatre) and 400 (Roots & Reggae in the Forrest – Corin Forest).

Create Collaborate Collective will be serving food and drinks through their Fundraising Bar with external food vendors providing yummy food for the evening. Details will be coming soon.
