This is an opportunity to explore a more meaningful connection with that naturally occurring activity that we call breathing. Breath is our vital link to this life and understanding how our breath is intricately link to our state of mind and well-being is empowering.

There is no fancy breath work here, only simple pranayama (breath work) that allows us to understand how we breathe and help us to grow our breath capacity.
We will use the tools of pranayama, gentle movement (asana) and sound to increase awareness of our breath and to improve its quality, depth and rhythm.

In the Yoga Sutra-s it tells us that an agitated breath follows and agitated mind…When in the body we have steadiness and ease accompanied with a breath that is smooth and long and the mind has followed into quietness clarity is present.

Sri Krisnamacharya would say “if you can breathe you can do Yoga”.

This is a workshop style session with the potential to assist those who experience difficulty in breathing or would like to understand how to improve their breath capacity.

There will be discussion and small take home practices to empower you to spend more time exploring this vital breath.
