Join the mighty Glebe Greyhounds and GWS Players to give AFL a go!

If you are looking for a fun, safe and inclusive winter sport, come and join us.

We're holding 3 free Try AFL sessions at Jubilee Oval, the home of your local community club.

Tuesday 12th March - 5.30pm (with GWS Giants Players)
Thursday 14th March - 4.30pm

Every child new to the Greyhounds who registers will get a lucky dip pack of footy merch and will be able to grab a snag at the free sausage sizzle!

The Try AFL session will be be run by accredited club coaches and AFL representatives covering Auskick (girls and boys 5-8), Junior Boys (boys 9-17) and Youth Girls (girls 9 -17). GWS Giants players will join us on Tuesday 12th March - just days before their opening match of the season

The Try AFL session will be followed by the sausage sizzle. Club volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions you may have!

Kids to wear comfortable clothes and sneakers - no footy boots please. Bring a hat and water bottle!

Founded in 1980 the Glebe Greyhounds Junior Football Club gives children from 5 to 16 the chance to play Australian Rules Football. Our philosophy is that every player who wants a game gets a game. This means that the club prides itself on ensuring all players are treated equally and that our main priority is a fun, safe and family environment. We value all players and keep a record, published in our yearbook, of every game played and goal scored by every Glebe player ever. On field the Greyhounds have a proud history having won 15 Premierships over the last 27 years and consistently played in finals in most ages. Many of our players have gone on to play at higher levels including representative football, and Sydney Football League. One ex-player currently plays in the AFL while another went on to become one of the leading punters in American College Football. The club is one of the largest in Sydney and plays in the famous black and white strip of Collingwood. Our home ground, Jubilee Oval on the shores of Blackwattle Bay is one of the most beautiful football grounds in Sydney. The rules are modified for younger players to emphasise the skills of Australian Rules football – this means fun, safe and fair games. All our coaches are fully trained and accredited with the Australian Football League.
