Tea Blending Workshop
Event description
Bluffton Ten Thousand Villages is excited to announce that our Artist of the Month for July is Kathleen Heeter, owner of Kathleen’s Kitchen and a master tea blender. Kathleen will be offering this workshop to teach participants how to make their own personalized blend of tea using herbs, dried fruits, nuts and tea leaves. The workshop will include a classic scone and tea jelly with which to taste your tea. Each participant will mix, package and name private tea blend (enough for 8-10 servings) to take home.
Ten Thousand Villages will have Kathleen’s tea for sale during the month of July, including several flavors custom-made for the store.
Ten Thousand Villages also sells a variety of Fair Trade Teas, which are organic and come from South American, Asian and African countries. Fair Trade standards are that the workers who own and grow our tea are paid a living wage and work in safe and environmentally friendly conditions.
