Tuesday Evening Weekly Sewing Classes | Melbourne

Build your sewing skills in a relaxed, supportive environment while working on projects that inspire you. Our intimate weekly evening sewing classes are kept deliberately small — with a maximum of just 6-8 participants — so you'll always receive plenty of personalised guidance and individual attention from our experienced seamstress.

Classes run every Tuesday evening from 6–9pm (except for 26th September), with the flexibility to join casually or commit to a block of sessions with our 3, 5 or 10-week passes. Dip in and out as your schedule allows, or make Tuesday nights your dedicated sewing time — the choice is yours!

Bring along your own sewing project and let us help you work through it, develop new techniques and grow your skills in a warm, encouraging space where every level is welcome.

A little something extra: All participants have access to our fabric bins — a wonderful treasure trove of preloved and upcycled fabrics. While most pieces are under a metre in length, with a little creativity you'd be amazed what you can transform them into. A wearable work of art? Absolutely possible!

Good to know: To keep our fees as low as possible and give you the most active sewing time, the 3-hour class includes setup and pack-down time. Doors open and close strictly at 6–9pm. If you're able to lend a hand with setting up or packing down, it's greatly appreciated and helps maximise everyone's sewing time.

Prefer to use your own machine? You are most welcome to bring it along!

Parking Silverdale Road has 2-hour parking only. For longer stays, 4-hour parking is available on The Eyrie, or all-day parking on Licksley Road — both are a short walk from the shop.

📣 A little note about Tuesday 29th September

Our regular Tuesday evening sewing class will NOT be running on the 29th September as Katrina who normally takes the class will be running a pop-up in Rosebud.
