Tuning In To Kids- Term 2 2024
Event description
This is a six week, parenting program for parents and carers of children from 3 to 8 years old taking place every Thursday from 10:00am-12:30pm. The program will run from the 2nd May 2024 until the 7th April 2023. Please note, childminding is not available, however children under 6 months can attend with their parents.
This course will support parents, carers and grandparents to:
- Be better at talking with your child
- Understand your child better
- Help your child to learn to manage their emotions
- Help to prevent challenging behaviours in your child .
- Teach your child to deal with conflict
- Support your child to develop emotional intelligence
Tuning in to Kids shows you how to help your child develop emotional intelligence. Children with higher emotional intelligence:
- Have greater success with making and keeping friends
- Have better concentration at school
- Are more able to calm down when upset or angry
- Tend to have fewer childhood illnesses
Emotional intelligence may be a better predictor of academic and career success than IQ!
