This is a six week, parenting program for parents and carers of children from 3 to 8 years old taking place every Wednesday from 9:30-11:30. The program will run from the 27th of July until the 31st of August. Please note, childminding is not available.

This course will support parents, carers and grandparents to:

Be better at talking with your child
Understand your child better
Help your child to learn to manage their emotions
Help to prevent challenging behaviours in your child .
Teach your child to deal with conflict
Support your child to develop emotional intelligence

Tuning in to Kids shows you how to help your child develop emotional intelligence. Children with higher emotional intelligence:

Have greater success with making and keeping friends
Have better concentration at school
Are more able to calm down when upset or angry
Tend to have fewer childhood illnesses

Emotional intelligence may be a better predictor of academic and career success than IQ!
