Tūranga Beginner's Guide to Local History

Are you interested in learning about the history of Ōtautahi Christchurch?

Come and join our Local History librarians as we explore topics like our Māori heritage, European immigration and settlement, the people, places and events that make our city unique.

We will explore some of the gems in our collection, including our archives, thousands of images and digitised diaries. We'll also show you how to research the history of your own neighbourhood or whichever topic you are interested in!

Cost: $16.24 per person (including booking fee)

Cancellations/refunds - Cancellations are available at any time. Refunds are only available if requested 48 hours prior to the event commencing.

Waitlist - We will no longer be offering a waitlist for a place on the following Term. Bookings will need to be made by the customer each term as they are released. Please see our learning centre page for 2021 ticket release dates and times.
