Tūranga - Digital Animation in Blender (Level 2) - 18 years +
Description
Digital Animation in Blender
This is a course for those who have already attended Introduction to 3D modelling with Blender or have previous experience using Blender.
We will start out with simple keyframing of a single object and move on to more complex scenarios. We will discuss animating on paths, parenting objects, utilizing empties, and working with shape keys. If time permits, we will also take a look at Rigid Body Physics.
Since the focus is on animation, we will keep the modelling fairly simple.
We will not be doing any character rigging. That is beyond the scope of this course.
Special Information:
Excellent computer skills are required.
This is not a beginner class. You should have either attended the Introduction to 3D Modelling in Blender (Level 1) or have sufficient experience in static modeling in Blender. Participants should be familiar with the interface, object manipulation (location, rotation, scale), object & edit modes (selecting and manipulating vertices, edges or faces), modelling tools (bevel, loop cut, extrude, inset), adding colour, and basic lighting.
We will do a review at the beginning of the class, so don't worry if you are rusty.
Age: Adults - 18 years +
Time: 10.30am-4pm This will include a lunch break (please BYO lunch or feel free to use the onsite cafe)
