This transformative workshop is designed to help individuals harness the power of storytelling as a tool for healing, resilience, and empowerment. Through writing, participants will explore their experiences, reclaim their voices, and discover how words can serve as a pathway from pain to power. This supportive approach provides a safe space to navigate emotional barriers, cultivate creativity, and transform personal struggles into authentic and inspiring narratives.

After this workshop, you will:

Understand how storytelling can serve as a tool for healing and resilience after trauma, reclaiming personal power and transforming pain into strength.
Learn strategies to navigate emotional blocks and fears that may arise when writing about personal experiences.
Explore methods for crafting stories that are honest, empowering, and emotionally safe.
Have strategies for channeling emotions into meaningful, creative narratives that inspire growth and reflection.

About the facilitator:
Dr. La Juan Hines-Rome has a rich background in academic research and a passion for addressing critical social issues. She has become a respected voice in contemporary literature and media. Her diverse works range from scholarly articles and collaborative writing projects to her role as a dedicated educator and innovative entrepreneur. She is the co-author of A Woman’s Worth: The Trials and Triumphs of a Successful Mompreneur and Voices of Legacy, Centering Our Voices: The Brilliance, Persistence, and Significance of Black Women Educators. Her writing extends to numerous scholarly articles and publications, reflecting her dedication to meaningful discourse and impactful storytelling.
