Turning the Tide in Reading Instruction 2024

Event description

JOIN US FOR A DAY OF PRESENTATIONS BY THE NATION'S TOP LITERACY RESEARCHERS, EDUCATORS, AND THOUGHT LEADERS!

In-person attendance: You will be able to visit with our curated exhibitors, enjoy complimentary breakfast and lunch, and try your luck with our wide selection of door prizes! Reduced rate rooms are available through September 3rd at the attached Hilton Garden Inn for your convenience.

Live Stream attendance
: If you can't travel to Brookfield, our live stream makes it convenient for you to join us virtually - and you might win one of the door prizes reserved for live streamers!

Recording access: Both in-person and live stream registrants receive permanent access to the event recording.

2024 speakers
 Jack Fletcher, Antonio Fierro, Natalie Wexler, Freddy Hiebert, Steve Dykstra, and Terrie Noland will cover a range of topics including difficulties in foundational reading skills, literacy instruction for English learners and emerging bilinguals, building background knowledge and using writing to improve comprehension, expanding vocabulary, the social/emotional ramifications of reading success and failure, and becoming a literacy leader. Laura Adams and Amy McGovern will also provide an update on Wisconsin Act 20.

Registration deadline for in-person is September 19th at midnight and for live stream is October 3rd at noon.

The first 100 people to register and pay
for in-person attendance will receive a free copy of The Knowledge Gap, by Natalie Wexler, courtesy of Amplify. We will contact the winners to pick the book up on site on October 4th!
