Event description

Enjoy an evening of ballet and art under the Tucson Sky at the beautiful Himaya Garden. Our event kicks off with tea and tasty treats from Himaya Garden and a local artisan's market, including creations from our community partners The Drawing Studio. At 7pm four Ballet Tucson leading dancers will perform a selection of solos and duets that highlight our diverse repertoire. You will enjoy The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from our award-winning production of The Nutcracker in partnership with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and the beautiful solo The Dying Swan, made famous by legendary ballerina Anna Pavlova. We will also share three original Pas de Deuxs choreographed by Artistic Director Margaret Mullin: Clair de Lune Pas de Deux, Tango's Embrace, and a sneak peek excerpt from an upcoming world premiere work in collaboration with Tohono Chul Gardens titled Desert Dweller.

Performing dancers: Principal dancers Madeleine Kuebler and Edward Oyarce-Solomon. Soloist dancers Sarah Wilkerson and Duncan Barlow
