Event description

Join us and our guest Ross Jurisich, co-founder of Stone & Wood Brewery as we discuss  Balancing economic growth with lifestyle and environmental values.

After our first, sold out, Sourdough Business Networking Lunch  in November 2020, we're delighted to bring our signature Lunch and Speaker Series to the Tweed Shire for 2021. Showcasing inspiring and successful business people within our Sourdough Community.

Join us for drinks on arrival and lunch while we hear Ross in interview with our own Ash Camm.

"Since Stone & Wood began we’ve been committed to treading more lightly on the Earth – after all, this is the only planet with beer! Our Green Feet program captures this commitment to being a sustainable beer brand. While focussing on energy, water and waste, it also encapsulates how we work with raw materials, supply chains, packaging and transport".

Together they'll explore the value that Stone & Wood has had from their conscious business motivation and how they have managed the balance between business growth and maintaining their  lifestyle and environmental values.

Ticket price includes a drink on arrival and a 2 course lunch.

Guest Speaker; Ross Jurisich.

Ross Jurisich, with his friends Brad and Jamie, began the story of Stone & Wood in 2008 when they decided, after many years in the brewing industry, to get away from the world of big beer and start their own thing.

Inspired by the idea of the ‘village brewery’ – that is, a brewery that brews quality beer while giving back to the wider community – Brad, Ross and Jamie founded Stone & Wood in a modest shed in Byron Bay’s industrial estate and began following their vision of creating a conscious local business.

Stone & Wood Murwillumbah is where the magic happens. Located among the rolling fields of South Murwillumbah, this is now the main production site.

Giving back to the community, working with purpose and the love of beer is what gets them out of bed in the morning.

We’re proud, and fortunate, to call the Northern Rivers our home. The region’s eclectic, passionate community have inspired the values and culture of our business, while the surrounding natural beauty is reflected in our beers. We also brew for those special Northern Rivers moments: after a hinterland hike, while catching a live band or straight out of the surf, our beers are for times like these.
