Twelfth Night - Year 12 Drama ATAR production
Event description
"I am not what I am."
One of his most famous comedies, Shakespeare's Twelfth Night tells the story of orphaned twins Viola and Sebastian who are shipwrecked on the island of Illyria, each presuming the other drowned. In order to obtain employment, Viola disguises herself as a male servant and is hired by the Duke Orsino, who is in love with the Lady Olivia. What ensues is a tangled web of mistaken identity, unrequited love and revenge.
A modern adaptation set in the 1960s, this reinterpretation of the Bard's work explores the themes of love, truth, and the sacrifices we make to pursue our dreams.
Presented by Year 11 and 12 Drama ATAR and General students.
