"Twenty10 and YAAS! School Holiday Workshop" led by  "KJ Reyes Ellul (he/him).

Twenty10 and YAAS are partnering up for a special workshop discussion covering mental health, language, support, discrimination, being an ally and a whole bunch more!

Join our Guest group facilitator KJ on Friday 12th of July at 11am sharp! 

KJ is a Learning and Development Officer at Twenty10, aligning with anti-oppressive practice and social justice principles, Kristian has worked extensively with LGBTIQA+ young people in the development and delivery of community-based education and support programs." and has 15 years experience across the education, health, youth and community sectors in NSW.

Workshop content is focused on LGBTIQA+ young people covering:

  1. The importance of language in our communities (a discussion about why it's important and how it feels when people use language that feels right when speaking to/about us)
  1. Taking discrimination seriously (being able to identify it, especially when it's casual, the impact it can have on our mental health, how to speak up for yourself when you receive it)
  1. Intersectionality (talking about other factors that can affect our mental health at the same time as being queer)
  1. How to be an ally to others (how to speak up for others, what feels good when others speak up for you)


Twenty10 is also the official NSW partner of QLife, a nationwide telephone and web peer-based support service. 

Twenty10 have been supporting young LGBTIQA+ folks for over 40 years delivering specialist capacity building information all over NSW to continue building a world where LGBTIQA+ people of NSW are secure, connected and celebrated.

  • Youth worker if you want to have a chat and to make sure everyone has a safe and supported experience.
  • Trained First Aid & Mental Health First Aid
  • Strict rules ensuring all events are drug, smoke and alcohol-free.
  • Strict policies ensuring all volunteers and staff comply with child safety laws and checks.

We are a LGBTIQ Safe space and there is zero tolerance for anything less than acceptance of all people.
