Event description

Our community gardens are thriving and we want to enjoy them with you! 

Bring a picnic blanket, comfy cushions, and your friends and family and enjoy our Twilight Dinners in the garden.

Niro (also known as TUKA TUKA KOTHUROTI MAN and a long serving member of the Tamil Feasts team) will be serving up his famous Kothuroti at our Newlands and East Coburg Community houses, with vegan & gluten free options available.

Niro came to Australia as a refugee and was kept in detention for more than 5 years. Since being released he has embarked on an incredible journey of sharing traditional food and stories from home. Kothuroti is featured in many markets Victoria wide and is a massive hit. We can't wait to share this deliciousness with you all!

Please note: Dinner service will be from 5-6.30pm, $12 per serve (pay at the event)
