Twilight Evening of Inside Pompeii
Description
Join us at David Roche Gallery on Thursday 3 December for our Twilight Evening, when we open late just for you!
Experience Inside Pompeii: Origins of a European Way of Life – a breathtaking exhibition showcasing the evocative photography of Luigi Spina, capturing the ancient city of Pompeii like never before. Presented by The European Union, this exhibition features 38 curated colour photographs taken during the pandemic, when Pompeii was eerily silent and empty. Through the lens of a purpose-built camera which allows photos to be taken in natural light, Pompeii is brought back to life. These stunning images invite us to walk its storied streets, hear the echoes of people’s lives, and marvel at the intricate frescoes that capture both the grandeur and intimacy of an ancient European way of living.
Guests can enjoy the new courtyard space as The David Roche Café will be open throughout the evening with a selection of quality wines from Simon Tolley Wines, refreshing beverages and delicious food and sweet treats. Delight in cheerful Christmas carols performed by High Spirits Harmony, an award-winning female a cappella singing group based in Adelaide.
You may pre-purchase your ticket online, or register your attendance now and pay at the door when you arrive.
Whether you are unable to visit the gallery during the day, or you love unique experiences to share with friends or family, our Twilight Evening is not to be missed. Gather your friends and celebrate summer together at DRG!
