Whittling and Basket Twining Workshop

This workshop is your time to explore and create and play.

Sarah Norton Creative (@sarah_norton_creative) is teaming up with Golden Fig Workshops (@goldenfigworkshops)!!

Come join for a day of fun and creativity, and leave with a beautiful woven treasure of your own.

In this workshop you’ll learn how to whittle your own weaving needle and  make a delightful miniature twined basket.

What you'll learn:         

• How to prepare your wood
• How to carve, shape and finish your needle. 
• How to work with natural fibres 
• How to start your basket
• Two-strand twining
• Shaping your basket 
• Finishing off your basket

All materials are provided.

Any level of experience is welcome.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to slow down, connect with nature and explore weaving; or expand on what you’ve already leant.
