    Event description

Join Twinkle in one small step for mouse-kind…and one giant leap of the imagination ….

Snuggled into their blanket cubby house, Nadia and Twinkle always share a book together before nap time. Today they’re reading a book about a rocket ship! But...when the book is finished and it’s time for bed…Twinkle wants to play a game instead!

Twinkle and the Moon is an interactive, theatre and literacy experience for children aged 2 - 7 years created by Nadia Sunde, one of Queensland’s most celebrated and beloved children’s theatre writers and performers.

Twinkle and The Moon is touring these September school holidays to support a very special moon, a little Sunshine Coast girl named Tallulah Moon who is living with an ultra-rare disease called SPG56.

Tickets to Twinkle and the Moon performances in Eudlo, Coolum, Pomona and Maleny are $10 (or $35 for a family of 4) and 50% of all ticket sales will be donated to Genetic Cures for Kids.

    About Nadia Sunde
Nadia Sunde is one of Queensland’s most celebrated and highly acclaimed children’s theatre writers and performers. An internationally and nationally awarded children's songwriter, she is also the author of three published children's picture books, a highly experienced early childhood music and story arts educator, former ABC radio presenter and mother of two. Nadia has written eight children's theatre shows for 0 – 10 year olds, and was recently commissioned by the State Library of Queensland to write five original new songs inspired by their book series Stories for Little Queenslanders.

"Nadia’s engaging storytelling and songs brought such immediate warmth and joy to the room and had the children and adults alike transfixed. The story of Twinkle the mouse eventually getting to sleep after an epic space odyssey was both sentimental and perfectly lighthearted with lots of laughs and learning too. We LOVED it." - A Davidson-Farnworth, Elanora Library, 2021

    About Tallulah Moon
Tallulah Moon suffers from SPG56 – a debilitating neurodegenerative disease, progressively robbing her of her ability to walk, talk, and move independently. Tallulah's parents are actively funding research to find a cure for SPG56 through their charity - Genetic Cures for Kids. To follow Tallulah’s story visit www.ourmoonsmission.org
